I recently cut 6 inches of my hair off because it was very damaged from highlighting and the amount of swimming I was doing in preparation for a triathlon. I liked my hair longer and was looking for something to help grow it back out. I’ve been using this product for a week now and haven’t really noticed a difference (yet). The smell reminds me of either the cheap beauty school shampoo that was used in the cosmetology classes I had in high school, or the rest area sanitation scent I recall when traveling out of state as a child…not pleasant, but tolerable I guess. I will use the products until they are empty, but I’m not sure I will buy this again. Also, the conditioner does not detangle so well.
I have heard that men who are bald do make better lovers due to a significant change in the regression Hair Growth Journals of scalp hair and at the same time growth of body hair. Could this really increase a man’s sexual desires and his level of functioning? Or is it all B— S—? I really read his, however not in a medical journal or anything close to it.

I’m 44 years old and have been using it for about 4 months now. I feel some hair thickening at the crown and feel like it is steadily improving. It’s not like I suddenly have a thick head of hair, but it seems to be helping.
I’ve been using this product for over 10 years and all I can say is that it does work.
I discontinued its use for a couple of months and got bald. As soon as I restarted to use it, I noticed much of my lost hair was growing back.
I know it doesn’t work the same for everyone, but in my case, I happen to be one strong candidate.
After a few weeks my head became very itchy and red and scaly I will let nature do it’s thing I guess
I don’t recall any problems with this seller, I believe the transaction was perfectly smooth as I expected. In short, rogaine foam has worked great for me and very quickly. I noticed my hair growing thicker and healthier within just a few weeks and shortly after that (maybe six weeks?) I noticed baby hairs forming. After two months my hairline had lowered about a centimeter which IMO is very drastic. I highly recommend any 5% minoxidil product for anyone who is considering it.
Okay, now for the unabridged review…
About me: I noticed my hairline receding around 16 and pretty much went directly into denial about it. My family has a history on of baldness in all of the men. When I started about four months ago my hair was very thin all over my crown. I was beginning to see my scalp all over the top. My temple’s had no hair on them and I was developing the classic widow’s peak look. I didn’t mind my receding hairline until this past year because it was so gradual. since 2010 my hair started falling out very very rapidly and I new I had to do something.
Around the age of 20 I started taking finasteride every other day that was prescribed from my doctor. He recommended using rogaine along with it but I decided against it because of price and hassle associated with using something everyday forever. The fin’ didn’t seem to ever do anything and by 21 years of age my hair was steadily getting worse and the shedding was getting more and more severe. I could scratch my head and see hairs falling out. It was very depressing and embarrassing.
Finally I bought this rogaine foam. It’s cheapest here on amazon I checked all over the place and this was the best option for me. I continued the finasteride and started the foam. I took picture for reference.
It’s been about 4 months since I first started. I didn’t have any side effects other than a little bit of soreness at first similar to a sunburn. I am very fair-skined and usually have skin irritations easily so this surprised me that I had so little of side effects.
I took the product as directed and my hair started looking thicker within just 2 or 3 weeks. by a month or two my hair was clearly beginning to grow back around my temples and my scalp began to disappear under my hair which was clearly thickening. Even my girlfriend (who was skeptical from the beginning) started to notice the growth. I started using it after showering because I had heard that this enhances absorption. I remember about two months ago my hair completely stopped shedding… meaning no more hair in the shower drain and no more hair floating off my head when I scratched it. I also noticed that my hair on my crown was growing at the same speed as all the rest of my hair which is much better than the ‘clown-hair’ look I was sporting in years past with the sides of my head growing faster than the top.
Around two and a half months I started to be inconsistent with the applications using it just once a day or every other day.
Everything was going great until about three months in when my results seemed to taper off and the shedding started all over again. I have started using it twice to three times daily on a dry scalp which is how the directions recommend it. I think that the decline in results is from my inconsistency in using the product and possibly from using it on a wet scalp which may actually hinder the performance of the minoxidil…?
I will continue using minoxidil for the next few years most likely and will repost a new reviews if my hair starts shedding again.
Other facts I would like to note is that the foam itself seems to make my hair look and feel thicker almost like a styling gel. I did notice a possible increase of shedding in the beginning but this was followed by a clear increase in growth which undid that initial damage. Liquid minoxidil products make my hair look thin after application and are messy and never dry. I do use a liquid off-brand 5% minoxidil at night along with the rogaine foam sometimes b/c I don’t care what I look like when I go to bed and I want to spread out the cost. I am now considering just using the foam and not using the liquid to improve results.
I am very happy with this product. I would have given it five stars 3 months ago had my hair not started to shed a little bit again. I give it four to four-and-a-half stars. In my opinion,there’s definitely nothing else out right now that I would trust more than rogaine foam to REGROW hair.
I have been using this product for over one and half year with good results when I first started using it in the beginning of 2009.
If I were to rate it in 2009 I would have given it 5 stars. However, based on recent purchases (past 6 months) the product consistency has varied a lot and the product has become more watery and does not stop hair loss any more… the hair have started shedding again. I will tell you that the prior product had stopped hair loss and some hair growth was also noticeable.
I have been patiently waiting to see if the quality improves… but have not seen any improvement yet.
Product container in 2009 had a rounded top and the packaging said “Made in USA”. If I remember correctly, it was manufactured in Miami Florida. Recently the company has switched to a flat top packaging and the packaging says “Assembled in USA from imported materials”. I am guessing this is the reason for poor quality.
The prior consistency was thicker shampoo with reddish orange color which required a pea sized quantity that produced enough lather. The newer product is too watery and has a lighter orange color. You need two to three times the quantity to get the same amount of lather.
Bottom line… the quality has deteriorated and product is not effective anymore.
My hair started thinning when I was 18 and I have always had a very dry scalp. I bought this along with some minoxidil to try and stop my hair from thinning. I have used Head and Shoulders for my dry scalp for years. Since I started using this I have not used the H&S once. For me it is a great shampoo that I will continue to purchase regardless of the hair growth properties. Both my wife and me have noticed that my hair does seem a little bit thicker but I dont see it growing like crazy.
This has to be the worst and most expensive shampoo that I’ve ever used. My hair began falling out when i started using this but i figured i would keep going since it said your hair might fall out for the first couple of weeks. Its been a little over a month now and i just finished my first bottle of revita. My hair is still falling out and if anything its gotten progressively worse. I had low to moderate hair loss before i started using this, now its high (15+ hairs fall per shower). I am giving this another chance, but i am buying the roundtop bottle to see if its any better and if my hair doesn’t stop falling out then that will be my last revita purchase ever. Its not even a good shampoo, it dries up and tangles my hair and on some parts it doesn’t even come off completely from the water so it feels like gel in my hair. Although i’m beginning to see patches of hair loss on my head, the shampoo is giving my hair more volume which is the only pro to it (somehow i feel its not worth the sacrifice). I will write another review when i’m done with the second one, i’m hoping it gets better.
Do not buy this product if you’d like to retain your hair! You shed hair like crazy after using this product. I purchased two bottles of this stuff, and only utilized about half of the first bottle before I ended up tossing them away. The bottles arrived leaking, just like other reviewers have noted as well. I’ve actually had great luck with two other shampoos, one of which is available here on Amazon – check them out – Your Crown and Glory Shampoo, and the other is L-Carnitine Shampoo by Hewley (available on Amazon). Both these products have helped with a healthy scalp, in turn growing new hairs! I’ve had people comment about how thick my hair is getting, and about the continued new hair growth! Stay away from the Revita, but try the others! Good luck!
I’ve had 3 bottles of this shampoo, but had been buying from another site which no longer carries it. Bought last from Amazon through a partner & it was more expensive than other site.
Hair is fuller & new growth seemed stronger than other strands of hair. I do know that, for me, it caused new growth because I found some 2-3 inch patches of hair where I had none before (almost reminded me of when the kids had cut each others’ hair). I would not have noticed new growth, except rest of my hair is >12 inches long so a dime-sized patch of new growth that is shorter than rest of hair sticks out.
I read some other sites recommending this shampoo & it claims that diameter of hair is thickened, making overall new hair growth stronger & thicker. It did not claim new individual strand growth though, only thickening of existing hair shafts @root.
After starting this shampoo, overall hair loss decreased significantly. Husband & I used-2 notice large amounts of my hair in shower drains & in hairbrush, but only a small amount is evident now.
I would recommend this shampoo.
It tingles when applied.
Before I ran out of this brand, I used it religiously every other day…along with my own conditioner. I’m trying to recall, but I think I noticed significantly less hair loss after about 1 month of use. One bottle usually lasts me about 2 months, but my hair is much longer than most, so it would probably last shorter hairstyles 3-4 months (if used per instructions – wash & leave in hair about 1 min, then rinse, wash again and leave in hair 2min or longer). Lather on repeat wash is very full!
Hair seems to have more volume after use of this shampoo, compared to my regular shampoo that I alternate with.
I have been using this product for about 2 months now.. i took pictures of before i got this product and my hair was falling out quite a bit.. .you could actually see bold spots in the top of my head and in the front. I got the product back on March, started using it ever since .. the first 2 to 3 weeks the hair that was dead or damage actually fall out even more than expected.. but don’t get nervous.. ( i thought it was a bad idea , but continue using it ).. i read all instructions and information on the bottle and the sheet that comes with the package.. this is the first step of the process.. so first it works on your scalp to clean the area and get rid of any damage hair , then it helps grow new hair in the next month.. you will see that small hair sprouts will come out on the areas where there was no hair.. One thing is that you have to leave it on your scalp for about 3 minutes to wash, and then rinse again and leave on for another 5 minutes … ( this is so that the shampoo can get deep into your scalp.. don’t worry about the size of the bottle, because it seems small, but on a daily routine it can actually last about a month or so.. believe me .. this really does work, but don’t think just because new hair is growing you can stop using it, No… in the contrary, you need to continue with this treatment probably for the rest of time .. or until something better comes out.. but i will recommed this to anyone that wants results fast and steady.. i will continue using this product and keep you post it on the results… Revita is doing a great job on this product..

I’m using this shampoo along with Ajuven H2G hair growh capsules and Spectral DNC hairloss spray(minoxidil).
I think it may be working, but can’t really tell because I’m using two other hair growh products. But must say, even though it’s expensive, I’m still on my first bottle and have a lot more of the shampoo in the bottle, and It’s been since March since I’ve starting taking everything.
My hair is more fuller, longer. I’ve had too many hair transplants(on and off procedures because of financial contraints) and never really got a fully completed transplanted head full of grafts. So I’m thin on top, lots of hair lost gong down back.
But must say, with these produtcs, I’m seeing a differnce. But if your hair loss has been years; the scalp where the hair loss is smooth, this means the hair follicle is no longer there and no hair will grow.
But I would still recommned this products, espeically to those who are just beginning to experience thinning and or experiencing hair loss.
It isn’t a miracle shampoo but I do think it is helping decrease my hair shedding. The small drain that I have has collected less and less hair while I’ve been using this product. This is a drastic improvement from before. I will continue using this product and I recommend it to others.
Don’t waste your money on this product. Your money would be better spent on regular hair vits which would not only be cheaper, but if you compare the ingredients, you’ll find that fast grow contains nothing more than any other hair vitamin on the shelf. if you’re into more natural vits, taking plain old vit e (1 x wk), a horsetail & a biotin will do the same for you if not more.
Have been using this for 6 months and my hair has grown from chin length to a little past my shoulders. Finally a product that does what it claims. It really did take 45 days to start working and works better if you take 1 morning, afternoon and night. Fast grow along with Profectiv products is the perfect duo for black hair care!
