Help required with psychiatric treatment (Hairloss)!?
Hello Everyone!I am 23 years old male, have been diagnosed with Social Anxiety and Depression, had a very turbulent upbringing and have been suffering most of my life, am a former Anorexic too! My biggest issue is my hair, I feel if my hair is restored I would be cured for good. I have been encountering a very strange phenomenon i.e. every time I start a medication regimen by any psychiatrist my hair get fuller in volume and thicker, stops breaking off and gets lush and shiny, however this effect lasts only for 4-5 days after which my hair returns back to its initial condition (dry, thinness to the point that my scalp is visible and start to break off Treatment Hairloss again)I have got several treatments from different psychiatrists, and the same thing keeps on repeating, that is my hair will get better within the first 2-5 days of the treatment and then will return back to becoming lifeless and thin! And I don’t notice this thing on my own, people at my office and social circle would start telling me all of sudden (after I start a treatment) that my hair is appearing thicker and fuller……….. I have good amount of protein in my meals and have a balanced diet, moreover I take a multivitamin and also oil my hair; but it just does not get better at all!I don’t have any history of baldness in my genes, in fact I am the first person in my family who suffers from hair loss and thinning; my siblings and parents have healthy hair and my father who is 70 has got better hair than me!My hair is thin on the forehead, temple and crown area but the back of my head feels to be thicker than the rest of the scalp. As stated above, regardless of which ever psychiatric treatment I start, the very same areas (where my hair is thinning) will get thicker out of nowhere and then return back to its original condition again!My physicians and psychiatrists have no explanation of this and cannot come up with any answer Kindly help me please, as I am in the middle of no where; any guidance to which direction I should proceed to :’(@ Turtle: Negative, I don’t suffer from trichotillomania!
