Excess hair growth on woman?
Hi, I’m an 18 year old girl and I have trouble with excess dark hair. I wouldn’t say I have really thick, course excess hair, but it is long and visible if I look up close. I have fine dark hairs growing all over my face except my forehead, and also growing on my back, thighs, my stomach, top of my feet, arms, toes and fingers, and some on my chest..pretty much all over. I don’t Abnormal Hair Growth Women know if it’s really a problem because it’s not that visible–I’ve seen pictures of women with hirsutism and my problem is not that bad. I’m just wondering if it’s normal and something to be worried about. It bothers me a lot–seeing the hair makes me feel really gross. For example I am too embarrassed that my hair growth might be considered abnormal and gross to wear a swimsuit.Aside from typical women shaving, the only hair control I do is plucking my eyebrows, upper lip and chin. I don’t really know how to control the other hair short of shaving my entire body, but that would be very time consuming and I’m worried it would make the hair grow darker.So I guess my question can be summed up with this: Is this hair growth atypial, and do I need to do something about it? If so, what should I do?Thank you
