I have natural afro-textured (very tightly coiled and kinked) hair. I don’t use this brush for its “shine infusing” purpose. Rather, I use this brush to help detangle and remove shed hair. I only detangling once a week max, sometimes every other week. When it’s time, I gently comb out my dampened hair that has some oil on it with a wide comb. Then I use this brush to complete the detangling and to remove shed hair. It’s very gentle compared to the more popular Denman D3, which rips my hair out. It’s the only brush I use.

The one downside is, precisely because the bristles are so gentle, they break off. I destroyed my last brush after about 10 uses. But know that my hair is very tightly coiled and I only use the brush every couple of weeks or so. It’s the best brush I’ve tried for this purpose, so I’m happy to just buy another.

What style would be good with my thick, messy, curly hair?
It’s beginning to get frizzy and unmanageable. Well, more so than usual. Here are some pictures.. I don’t really know which one is better for you so I’m going to put a few.http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/24/l_c2efdd0874114ebe9d10e2b68ad920c7.jpghttp://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/34/l_fa4ec609d40a447b99deb5d106106ebb.jpghttp://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/21/l_8092a5e244b24f64b33fd63205b57967.jpghttp://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/85/l_cbed022035cc495e9a5be4510439242f.jpghttp://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/68/l_9c7451f343054573a87cd855f999cd85.jpghttp://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/85/l_d4c7c6bc03814418ac44a3ca9b0f32f6.jpgYeah, Therapy Hair Brush my hair is naturally brown like in the first picture, but peer pressure got me into dying my hair black. But I dyed it badly, so my hair is black and brown.I like it though. Anyway, the front is beginning to get frizzy and ugly to the max. Straightening, ironing, or doing any of that type of maintenance takes a huge amount of time. I use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, then L’Oreal Nature’s Therapy nurturing shampoo, and after the shower I put in Coloresse fade protection system leave in conditioner and leave in moisturizer, and after brushing it through while it’s still wet, I add a bit of Generic Sculpting Foam. Then flip and I’m done. I’ve been doing that for a good amount of time and I’ve been alright with the results until today. It’s now frizzy in the front like I took a shower with no products.I always part my hair in the same side, so maybe it’s that? And my ends are getting poofier than the top of my head, so I look like a pyramid sometimes. What should I do?Sorry this thing is so long.
