Real info on Hair Nutrition

I had never had my back waxed or shaved my back and it has been a bit out of hand back there for decades. I wasn’t about to put my faith in a $22 product to get the job done at first. I went for the expensive professional waxing at an upper end spa. There was some pain involved. But it was worth it as it pretty much made it through the summer with moderate growth. But I was not about to spend $80 or more every three months and decided to give the Mangroomer a shot. It worked pretty well and wasn’t too hard to use. I still had some of the exfoliating roll on that I purchased from the spa for use after the waxing. It helps prevent bumps and used it after my first Mangroomer use and I think that helped too. I still believe that a professional waxing is the way to go for those who have never done a thing back there. But this is fine for maitenance.

I am convinced that Garnier Fructis products are virtually the same as Kerastase products, for about 1/10 the price ounce for ounce. I haven’t been able to verify this scientifically but the products list the same ingredients in almost the same order and they are both made by L’Oreal. Try the cheap one and see if it doesn’t have the same effect on your hair — that’s how I figured out they were the same product. It’s all about what they call stratified marketing.
If you have any doubts about buying ANY Kerastase products, I’m here to say it’s worth EVERY penny and you will NOT regret spending the money. My hair has never been so beautiful.
I switched shampoo for years, always chasing the latest and greatest. Never again, this is the real deal. The scent is very clean and fresh and not over-done. This product cleans well but is not harsh. You pay for this quality but it is worth every penny.
This is an incredible shampoo! Well worth the money.
I received this order in record time and was very pleased with all aspects of this purchase as well as with the Seller. I would definitely purchase from this Seller again in the future.
I bought this shaver for my son as I was always shaving his back for him. Now he can do it himself and he is amazed how great it works! He can now just pull it out and shave whenever! It’s not a close shave but he says he satisfied with the results.
This product does scratch skin a little and does hurt just a little…but it does cut VERY close, so that is really expected.
Fairly decent product that performs adequately to what it claims. Noisy and not near as close as a razor, but accomplishes the task.
This thing works as advertised. Trimming back hair is like clearing a forest sometimes and this thing does the trick. Easy to use and the two double-A batteries required last the entire season. No more arm-breaking manuevers or using a clipper taped to a wire hanger. Just buy it. It’s so worth it. You’ll thank yourself later.
My wife used this for six months.
The adjustment portion is nice but it wore out. The parts inside the hair dryer stand are plastic.
Eventually it became a low non-adjustable stand.
Enjoy,
Hey I created a VIDEO REVIEW to show everyone that this is a good product despite what the negative reviews have said. Go to youtube and search “Hair dryer stand review” to find it(for some reason Amazon won’t upload video). It is tall enough, it is sturdy enough, it doesn’t wobble, the gooseneck will hold my big Bespoke labs T3 blowdryer in any position, and it was easy to assemble.
LOVE it!! Directs the hot air just where I want it, leaves both hands free to fluff-dry and style my hair, and allows me leave my blowdryer out on the Master Bath countertop without cords and clutter. The base is sturdy, and once I put it together correctly, I had no problems.
Key words: …”once I put it together correctly.” Assembly really IS easy, but:
Read. The. Instructions.
I didn’t, and made 2 simple mistakes:
1) Two “poles” or rods form the stand, one of which slides into the other to adjust the height of the stand. My first try, everything LOOKED correct except that I couldn’t raise the height up. No matter how much I twisted, as soon as I’d let go, KLUNK! Frustrated, I started over from scratch, dug out the instructions (duh!) and discovered I had inserted the second pole upside-down.
2) DO make sure you clamp the flexible neck of the stand onto the “nose” of the blowdryer, so to speak, so that the weight of the dryer and its cord hang BEHIND the stand, AWAY from you, and not in front. I finally studied the photo on the box, adjusted accordingly, and the neck now holds my heaviest blowdryer.
The above MIGHT explain a few negatives this product has received. Just sayin’s, all. Bottom line, I love mine. Best $15 I ever spent.
I bought this product because I recently got two new poodle puppies and I wanted to do my own at home grooming. After the first grooming I knew I had to find something to keep up the hair dryer. This stand is perfect. Because the dogs move alot I do wish that when I tilted the dryer that It would stay in place batter, but I make it work.
I have been using this product for over one and half year with good results when I first started using it in the beginning of 2009.
If I were to rate it in 2009 I would have given it 5 stars. However, based on recent purchases (past 6 months) the product consistency has varied a lot and the product has become more watery and does not stop hair loss any more… the hair have started shedding again. I will tell you that the prior product had stopped hair loss and some hair growth was also noticeable.
I have been patiently waiting to see if the quality improves… but have not seen any improvement yet.
Product container in 2009 had a rounded top and the packaging said “Made in USA”. If I remember correctly, it was manufactured in Miami Florida. Recently the company has switched to a flat top packaging and the packaging says “Assembled in USA from imported materials”. I am guessing this is the reason for poor quality.
The prior consistency was thicker shampoo with reddish orange color which required a pea sized quantity that produced enough lather. The newer product is too watery and has a lighter orange color. You need two to three times the quantity to get the same amount of lather.
Bottom line… the quality has deteriorated and product is not effective anymore.
My hair started thinning when I was 18 and I have always had a very dry scalp. I bought this along with some minoxidil to try and stop my hair from thinning. I have used Head and Shoulders for my dry scalp for years. Since I started using this I have not used the H&S once. For me it is a great shampoo that I will continue to purchase regardless of the hair growth properties. Both my wife and me have noticed that my hair does seem a little bit thicker but I dont see it growing like crazy.
Do not buy this product if you’d like to retain your hair! You shed hair like crazy after using this product. I purchased two bottles of this stuff, and only utilized about half of the first bottle before I ended up tossing them away. The bottles arrived leaking, just like other reviewers have noted as well. I’ve actually had great luck with two other shampoos, one of which is available here on Amazon – check them out – Your Crown and Glory Shampoo, and the other is L-Carnitine Shampoo by Hewley (available on Amazon). Both these products have helped with a healthy scalp, in turn growing new hairs! I’ve had people comment about how thick my hair is getting, and about the continued new hair growth! Stay away from the Revita, but try the others! Good luck!
This has to be the worst and most expensive shampoo that I’ve ever used. My hair began falling out when i started using this but i figured i would keep going since it said your hair might fall out for the first couple of weeks. Its been a little over a month now and i just finished my first bottle of revita. My hair is still falling out and if anything its gotten progressively worse. I had low to moderate hair loss before i started using this, now its high (15+ hairs fall per shower). I am giving this another chance, but i am buying the roundtop bottle to see if its any better and if my hair doesn’t stop falling out then that will be my last revita purchase ever. Its not even a good shampoo, it dries up and tangles my hair and on some parts it doesn’t even come off completely from the water so it feels like gel in my hair. Although i’m beginning to see patches of hair loss on my head, the shampoo is giving my hair more volume which is the only pro to it (somehow i feel its not worth the sacrifice). I will write another review when i’m done with the second one, i’m hoping it gets better.
I love the way this serum makes my hair feel even using the straightner every day.
