I made a review on Essence Hair to help you in your decision

I ordered this from Red-Tag Sale (seller). 2 Tubes of this shampoo cost $13.88 and the shipping was $8.52. What a rip-off! The shipping cost was 61% of the cost of the product!?! This is NOT right. Plus, this product does NOT work. I have had oily hair for 30 years. Recently I have been looking for good oily-hair products, but this is not it. My hair looks greasy after 24 hours, which is the same as if I use a normal hair shampoo that I buy at the grocery store for A LOT less money. Phyto has a shampoo that works better on oily hair. This shampoo is organic, if you are looking for organic shampoo.
I have wavyish curly hair that is very thick and Essence Hair coarse. I’ve been struggling for a while to find a shampoo that hydrates my hair, since it is very dry. I can’t find anything. The last Herbal Essence product I used was Totally Twisted and it dried my hair. Is this one good?

My hairdresser recommended this for my hair as I was noticing some coarseness in its texture. I put it on my face and hair at night. It’s not really greasy and wont stain your pillow. In the morning I rinse it out with warm water and style my hair. I also put it on my hair right before I go to Hot Yoga classes and it’s like getting a hot oil treatment with my workout. Husband uses it on his face right after he shaves. We love it.
i think this product is amazing because i use this for my acne which helps with my breakouts,i have a book on herbs and with this product it says because it is close to your skins natural oils which is the sebum it tricks you skin into thinking it is producing oil so this way there is no excess oil.i also ues it in my scalp with vitamine e oil which help to reduce dry scalp and flakes.like i said it is more a wax(ester)product as opposed to an oil so that way it never clogs your pores and safe for sensitive skin which i have
I’m still not sure how this product is working (thus, I can only give it four stars), but it seems pretty nice. I was using castor oil for a few months to try and prevent wrinkles and get rid of fine lines around my eyes. It was too thick for my skin though (I just turned 20, and have thin, normal/dry white-person skin). I remembered seeing jojoba oil in Trader Joes and buying some when I was around 17 for my acne…but now that my acne isn’t tooooo bad, I’m going for anti-aging. I still have some acne/acne-prone skin, but jojoba oil doesn’t make me break out.
I wear a physical 55-70+ sunscreen everyday I leave the house, and since it is the physical stuff it makes my skin white and a bit dry looking. With jojoba oil in my sunscreen I can apply a 25 cent amount to my face and neck with no problems — plus it makes my skin shiny, but not too much!
The one issue I have noticed is that sometimes my skin feels dry/tight. I never experienced this until using jojoba oil. So yea…maybe in another 15 years or so I’ll give an Amazon-update on how jojoba oil and my entire regimen has worked for my skin. If they don’t have an anti-aging pill or something out by then, then hopefully my update will help people decided whether to take or leave what I used/jojoba oil. XD
Anyways, this oil is very light, contains natural spf, and good as a conditioning-treatment for hair.
The product does as it says, use it and you get great protection from the elements.
This is by far the best red hair dye I have ever used. I’ve used dyes that faded 2-3 days after dying. This one turns a deep, beautiful ruby red that glistens in the sunshine – I get complimented on it constantly. I leave it in a little longer than the directions say, and it starts out almost burgundy and then fades slowly to a more natural-looking red and stays that way for weeks. I do recommend using some of the John Frieda products designed to preserve reds – the color sealer, shampoo and conditioner – as well as using the coolest water you can stand to wash it.
I bought a pack of 3. I have used half a bottle now, and it works for my oily hair. I like it and I will keep using it!
I thought this would be a perfect fix for my oily hair and my husbands dandruff. I usually have to wash it twice to get it really clean. Initially it was great. Lathered well and cleaned well. Smelled wonderful. After a few weeks, my hair started feeling dryer and rough. After two months, my hair was so dry, it felt like straw. Coincidentally, my husband asked me one night to look at his head because it kept itching while he was at work. It was a mess of peeling skin and little bloody spots where he had been itching so much. We have stopped using it, and the itchiness is starting to go away. I’m not sure how much Tea Tree Oil is actually in the product. We’ve used other products with the oil in it and it creates a pleasant tingling on the scalp.
I have tried other shampoos by the same company, such as the “Pure” and “Raspberry” varieties. I really liked them a lot and would recommend all the others. Burt’s Bees and Avalon Organics Lavender shampoo are my favorites too. This Lemon shampoo was more then adequate to remove the oil off my scalp. I think it is a little overkill. The other reviewer was correct in saying that the hole in the bottle was too small to get the product out. I remedied that by enlarging it with the tip of my meat thermometer.
I love the smell of this shampoo. It’s great for anyone that has oily hair. The only problem I’ve had is after I’ve shampooed I have a problem getting a comb through my hair even with conditioner.
I have oily hair and love this shampoo. It works great – cleans well and controls the oil throughout the day. The price on Amazon 9now about $26 for a 3 pack) is outrageous – I just bought a bottle for <$4. Definitely will continue to buy – but not from here.
