This is the best shampoo I’ve ever used. It leaves my hair full and soft and manageable. I highly recommend it.
I got this product at least 6 months ago and there’s still a lot left of it. It’s really creamy and in my opinion better than Aveda and a looot of other hair care products, definately one of the best products I’ve tried on my hair when paired with the conditioner. It’s also not as expensive as kerastase, and works better on my fine hair. Usually, I’ll put on a leave-in conditioner afterwards(still searching for a favorite here, used to really like redken no.4 lushwhip), then a little biosilk, then flat iron my hair. =)
I have used both cheaper and more expensive shampoo but have found that I always come back to Biolage. It is a great product.
Biolage IS a good shampoo, but it’s not for me. I’m a 20-year-old male with longer hair and I had friends recommend this shampoo, and I was able to get a deal on both this and the condition for $25.
Prior to using this I had been shampooing with Selsun Blue for Dry Skin, and conditioning with Nioxin (Really I had just been too lazy to order more Nioxin shampoo lol). I had found that combination to work rather well, but I’m always open for something better if it’s possible.
As you can probably assume, I have a very sensitive scalp. My stylist told me that I may possibly have a mild form of psoriasis too. I’m also in the early stages of a receeding hairline (which may be helped via psorisis from what I’m told), so finding a product that can preserve my hair as much as possible is very important to me. Unfortunately, I don’t believe Biolage to be it.
Biolage causes my scalp to break out, so I can only assume I’m allergic to something in it. Not only that, but it actually dries it out badly (a little strange for ‘hydratherapie’). However, the worst aspect is I’ve immediately noticed an increase in the hair I lose — most notably my hair line. I haven’t lost hair on my hairline in a year, and within the first two or three shampoos with Biolage I noticed a difference. I’m only left to assume I’m losing hair on the rest of my head as well. While it’s not a huge difference so far, if you’re a guy who’s just starting to lose your hair, this is your worst nightmare.
What I do like about Biolage is the smell, and the fact that it lathers very easy. While it irritates my scalp, it makes my hair feel very manageable and fuller. I can’t say I’m a large fan of the conditioner (which I think may be more to blame for my problems), but that’s for another review.
If you’re a male with a sensitive scalp in the early stages of hair recession, I’d recommend you try Nioxin first.
This shampoo/conditioner combination leaves hair feeling very silky. My hair is very fine but lots of it. The aroma is not overpowering as in many shampoos and rosemary is very pleasant. My guess is the scent doesn’t have to be strong to cover up the chemicals that are used in most other shampoos/conditioners. All in all, very satisfied. Oh, my hair is the natural color but a reviewer of another of the Giovanni shampoos said his mother loves this combo and her hair is dyed.
I LOVE the Giovanni line. The products are very quality and work fantastic on my hair. The packaging is sleek, stylish and clean looking. The bottle looks good sitting in the shower. My only gripe is that due to the thin design of the bottle it’s hard to get all of the product out. I find myself banging the bottle upside down in the shower to get to the last bits of conditioner. Other than that it’s a lovely product. The smell is nice and this works just as well on my hair as the TTTT and Smooth-As-Silk Giovanni Conditioners which is why I’ve rated it 5.
I have kinky curly hair, tight curls, and this works wonders for it. It has great slip. It’s creamy and smoothes and soothes my hair and scalp. It makes detangling so much more easier with little product. A small amount can be used as a leave in. It leaves your hair very soft, but with the protection of protein. It provides shine that’s really hard to get with kinky curly hair, and makes your curls really pop. It is definitely a product for all hair types, especially dry. Giovanni is the best hair care line for natural hair of any texture. Plus it’s paraben and sulfate. Giovanni hair products has many cone/silicone free as well.
