I’ve had quite a few epilator brands and models over the years and while this one does the job, it still does not compare to the Emjoi AP99 Optima Epilator.

Pros: Has light for better visibility, feels relatively gentle (as far as epilators are concerned – all of them hurt like h#$% of course.)

Cons: Does not pull as much hair as other models (possibly, thus, the gentler feel.) Does not give your full range of angles/flexibility as other models due to limited real estate (surface area of tweezers.)

Anything I can do to stop body hair growth or anything?
It’s really a pain to shave it all. It takes about 20-30 minutes every 2-3 days with Electric Hair Growth Stimulators my electric shaver, and the electric shaver doesn’t work for certain sensitive areas (catches skin and it’s horribly painfull) and the normal shaver takes too long.So are there any foods I can eat or any products or anything to stop it growing? I hate it! (I’m a teenage male btw)

    I love this shaver. It charges quickly and stays charged. It removes leg hair painlessly without leaving stubbles. The grip is easy to use and it is easy to clean. I travel with it as well. I didn’t find it that helpful for removing underarm hair but it is fantastic for the entire leg, leaving a soft smooth feel to the touch.

    This is the first Panasonic electric shaver I have ever owned; and, it’s great. It gives me a nice, smooth shave and is comfortable “sitting” in my hand. I haven’t tried using it in the shower; so, can’t comment on that; however, compared with previous electric shavers I’ve owned, it is definitely a big improvement.

    I bought this razor a few months ago. For the first few times, it was great. I recharged once, cleaned it faithfully, and it worked very well. However, even though I had fully discharged the battery before the second recharge, it didn’t fully (and still will not fully) recharge, so the razor doesn’t have enough oomph to cut the hair – it just pulls it out very painfully. Ouch!!! I do not recommend this item if you plan on using it past a few months.

    Terrible shaver! Feels cheap, doesn’t shave well. The head falls apart during cleaning and the mechanism to move one of the blades up broke after two weeks of use. I know, it sounds as if I was a shaver abuser but trust me, things in my hands usually last years, this one is just GARBAGE! About positive reviews….Panasonic must have own people writing them….I just can’t imagine anybody liking this shaver.

    I must admit that I never really write reviews, but I just had to after using the new pro back-shaver. I received this as a gift and really didn’t know if I would use it at first. Anyhow, I ended up trying it out last week and i’m pissed I didn’t know about it sooner. The best part (and weirdest part) is that I can finally feel my shirts against the skin on my back again after I use it. Hooray! and I actually feel a little leaner as a bonus.

    The shaver itself has a great rubber feel to the whole body and the power is good. Haven’t had to recharge it yet and used probably 5 or 6 times. Who knew shaving my back hair off could make me feel so good.

    Super impressed at the ability of this device to just mow through my back forest. I’m Italian and my hair is thick and wirey and the Mangroomer didnt have any problems getting the job done. Cool. The black rubber is a nice touch and gives you grip to go from any angle under the arms too. Overall I am happy I bought it.

    I purchased this product to replace the head of my shaver and to my dissapointment the item did not fit. I could not get it to lock in place no matter how many times I tried. So, the product is either not an original replacement or there is some type of defect in the production process. Do not purchase this item unless you want to loose your $$$$$.

    This will not work on older mangroomer essential groomers.

    Mangroomer customer service acted like they did not know about this problem and they took my contact info. I doubt that I will hear back from them.

    Save your money. Back hair is back!

    Like many of the other posters, the replacement heads I bought did not fit my shaver. I emailed the company on a Saturday night, explaining that I had bought my shaver in June, 2008. By Sunday morning I received a reply from Mangroomer that my shaver was an older model and they would send me a free replacement if I gave them my address. By Sunday afternoon I had another email from the company saying the replacement had already been shipped. I had it less than a week later and they also threw in a free nose hair trimmer. It was a simple fix and the company was very responsive. I’m not sure why others have not had success in contacting the company or gone through the trouble of trying to put the new blades on the old head.

    THE REPLACEMENT NOT ONLY WORKS WELL, I THINK IT WORKS BETTER THAN ORIGINAL DID WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT IT.

    IT ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY AND I LOVE IT. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

    This product does scratch skin a little and does hurt just a little…but it does cut VERY close, so that is really expected.

    I bought this shaver for my son as I was always shaving his back for him. Now he can do it himself and he is amazed how great it works! He can now just pull it out and shave whenever! It’s not a close shave but he says he satisfied with the results.

    Fairly decent product that performs adequately to what it claims. Noisy and not near as close as a razor, but accomplishes the task.
