Ingrown hair or Swollen Lymph Node?
I have a swollen bump about 2 inches above my adams apple and to the left which is now bigger than the size of a pea. It is very painful, the area is hot but there is no indication that it is going to burst anytime soon. Boil or out of control zit was my first guess. I cannot determine from the lymph node charts on the web either so I was hoping to get feedback of people’s experience.The reason why I am posting my question is that I have seen a doctor today who is male Biotic Topical Hair and I did not feel comfortable going into the whole “ingrown hair” scenario. He is a great doctor but still, it is very embarrassing. Without really looking all that much at my neck, he determined Lymph Node possibly from the plucking. However, I pluck, tweeze and sometimes shave especially around that time of month to keep the hairiness in check. I am 2 days into my period, feel a bit rundown but do not have a fever, cough or anything else except this thingey on my neck. Note, I have been plucking and tweezing for years and never had something like this before. Any ingrown hairs I see but this is pretty far down my neck.I was given a topical anti-biotic and told to wait. Well, as I wait I am freaking out! What if it is a foot long hair stuck in there? The bump is hot, hard and throbbing.Please send me some jokes or something to make me laugh. Does anyone know what else can be done to relieve the pain? The topical goes on twice per day and he said to return in about 7 days if it does not go away.
