Diet for reversing unnatural hair loss? HELP!!?
Ever since I was really young (like, 2), I’ve hair bouts of hair loss. Sometimes it’ll continue to fall out for a year or even longer. Other times it’ll stay in and be healthy for a few years. I’m not so sure it’s alopecia, because it doesn’t fall out in clumps.I’ve used the Nioxin products all my life (and that seems to slow the process, at least). And I tried the dietary supplements sold by Nioxin about two or three years ago and it filled in the bald spots Vitatress ReVitalizing on my head. And they stayed filled for a few years. Up until about six months ago, I realized a few spots were starting to go bare again.I tried the supplements, but they didn’t seem to work as well. Am I not using them for long enough periods of time? Right now, I’m using the Nioxin shampoo & conditioner, and that liquid stuff you apply directly to the scalp. I was taking these pills called “VitaTress,” but they didn’t do much (if anything at all).I’ve been a partial vegetarian (I only eat fish every few months) since April of ‘08. I’m not sure if this could be related to my hair loss because it’s been such a long time since I took that up, you know? My hair hasn’t been falling out for two years. lol!When I was younger I also used to take grape seed extract. Should I maybe try taking that again?Basically, is there a certain diet or a certain type of dietary supplement that can reverse hair loss like this? I’m almost 18, so it’s not from old age. lol! What lack of vitamin or mineral can cause this???
