I also habitually massage my head with my finger tips (blood flow), regularly drink green tea (anti-oxidants), hang up-side-down for about for about 5-10 minutes a day (blood flow), take Opti-Men Multivitamin, and use Ds Laboratories Revita Hair Growth Stimulating Shampoo.My condition before use:Before I started to use Spectral DNC and Revita Shampoo my hairline had receded around the front side of my forehead. Looking at past pictures my hair had been thinning since I was 17. I really didn’t start to notice until I was 21 and didn’t start to use this product until I was 22.My condition after 4 months:My hairline is nearly straight across my forehead and there are more little hairs thickening. I have to say that I have tried EVERY shampoo out on the market. This one by far is the bestI have used to date. It leaves my hair with that “clean” feeling and my scalp feels alive everytime I use it. I have been using it for three months now and I love it. My wife also uses it now as well and she is VERY picky.
Since I bought this product, I refuse to use anything else! It works brilliantly at thickening my thin hair and makes it feel amazing. Love it!
I ordered the DR after using the NT for a couple weeks. I don’t have many bald spots but my hairline has been thinning out with age. I gotta say after a few weeks of using DR my hair is thicker and fuller in my problem areas. No extreme ingredients that would leave your hair dry and dusty like other hairloss shampoos. Leaves your scalp feeling tingly, great for the morning wakeup
Definetly ordering a few more bottles. Best shampoo hands down!
A $20.00 bottle of shampoo seems a little steep but I have tried everything else on the market and I don’t see any visible results. Its been 3 weeks since I started using it and even though it has help with my dryness, the itching still there and I have not noticed any change as far as hair loss.
Do not buy this product if you’d like to retain your hair! You shed hair like crazy after using this product. I purchased two bottles of this stuff, and only utilized about half of the first bottle before I ended up tossing them away. The bottles arrived leaking, just like other reviewers have noted as well. I’ve actually had great luck with two other shampoos, one of which is available here on Amazon – check them out – Your Crown and Glory Shampoo, and the other is L-Carnitine Shampoo by Hewley (available on Amazon). Both these products have helped with a healthy scalp, in turn growing new hairs! I’ve had people comment about how thick my hair is getting, and about the continued new hair growth! Stay away from the Revita, but try the others! Good luck!
This has to be the worst and most expensive shampoo that I’ve ever used. My hair began falling out when i started using this but i figured i would keep going since it said your hair might fall out for the first couple of weeks. Its been a little over a month now and i just finished my first bottle of revita. My hair is still falling out and if anything its gotten progressively worse. I had low to moderate hair loss before i started using this, now its high (15+ hairs fall per shower). I am giving this another chance, but i am buying the roundtop bottle to see if its any better and if my hair doesn’t stop falling out then that will be my last revita purchase ever. Its not even a good shampoo, it dries up and tangles my hair and on some parts it doesn’t even come off completely from the water so it feels like gel in my hair. Although i’m beginning to see patches of hair loss on my head, the shampoo is giving my hair more volume which is the only pro to it (somehow i feel its not worth the sacrifice). I will write another review when i’m done with the second one, i’m hoping it gets better.
I have been using this product for over one and half year with good results when I first started using it in the beginning of 2009.
If I were to rate it in 2009 I would have given it 5 stars. However, based on recent purchases (past 6 months) the product consistency has varied a lot and the product has become more watery and does not stop hair loss any more… the hair have started shedding again. I will tell you that the prior product had stopped hair loss and some hair growth was also noticeable.
I have been patiently waiting to see if the quality improves… but have not seen any improvement yet.
Product container in 2009 had a rounded top and the packaging said “Made in USA”. If I remember correctly, it was manufactured in Miami Florida. Recently the company has switched to a flat top packaging and the packaging says “Assembled in USA from imported materials”. I am guessing this is the reason for poor quality.
The prior consistency was thicker shampoo with reddish orange color which required a pea sized quantity that produced enough lather. The newer product is too watery and has a lighter orange color. You need two to three times the quantity to get the same amount of lather.
Bottom line… the quality has deteriorated and product is not effective anymore.
My hair started thinning when I was 18 and I have always had a very dry scalp. I bought this along with some minoxidil to try and stop my hair from thinning. I have used Head and Shoulders for my dry scalp for years. Since I started using this I have not used the H&S once. For me it is a great shampoo that I will continue to purchase regardless of the hair growth properties. Both my wife and me have noticed that my hair does seem a little bit thicker but I dont see it growing like crazy.
I’ve been using this product for over 10 years and all I can say is that it does work.
I discontinued its use for a couple of months and got bald. As soon as I restarted to use it, I noticed much of my lost hair was growing back.
I know it doesn’t work the same for everyone, but in my case, I happen to be one strong candidate.
After a few weeks my head became very itchy and red and scaly I will let nature do it’s thing I guess
I’m 44 years old and have been using it for about 4 months now. I feel some hair thickening at the crown and feel like it is steadily improving. It’s not like I suddenly have a thick head of hair, but it seems to be helping.
I don’t recall any problems with this seller, I believe the transaction was perfectly smooth as I expected. In short, rogaine foam has worked great for me and very quickly. I noticed my hair growing thicker and healthier within just a few weeks and shortly after that (maybe six weeks?) I noticed baby hairs forming. After two months my hairline had lowered about a centimeter which IMO is very drastic. I highly recommend any 5% minoxidil product for anyone who is considering it.
Okay, now for the unabridged review…
About me: I noticed my hairline receding around 16 and pretty much went directly into denial about it. My family has a history on of baldness in all of the men. When I started about four months ago my hair was very thin all over my crown. I was beginning to see my scalp all over the top. My temple’s had no hair on them and I was developing the classic widow’s peak look. I didn’t mind my receding hairline until this past year because it was so gradual. since 2010 my hair started falling out very very rapidly and I new I had to do something.
Around the age of 20 I started taking finasteride every other day that was prescribed from my doctor. He recommended using rogaine along with it but I decided against it because of price and hassle associated with using something everyday forever. The fin’ didn’t seem to ever do anything and by 21 years of age my hair was steadily getting worse and the shedding was getting more and more severe. I could scratch my head and see hairs falling out. It was very depressing and embarrassing.
Finally I bought this rogaine foam. It’s cheapest here on amazon I checked all over the place and this was the best option for me. I continued the finasteride and started the foam. I took picture for reference.
It’s been about 4 months since I first started. I didn’t have any side effects other than a little bit of soreness at first similar to a sunburn. I am very fair-skined and usually have skin irritations easily so this surprised me that I had so little of side effects.
I took the product as directed and my hair started looking thicker within just 2 or 3 weeks. by a month or two my hair was clearly beginning to grow back around my temples and my scalp began to disappear under my hair which was clearly thickening. Even my girlfriend (who was skeptical from the beginning) started to notice the growth. I started using it after showering because I had heard that this enhances absorption. I remember about two months ago my hair completely stopped shedding… meaning no more hair in the shower drain and no more hair floating off my head when I scratched it. I also noticed that my hair on my crown was growing at the same speed as all the rest of my hair which is much better than the ‘clown-hair’ look I was sporting in years past with the sides of my head growing faster than the top.
Around two and a half months I started to be inconsistent with the applications using it just once a day or every other day.
Everything was going great until about three months in when my results seemed to taper off and the shedding started all over again. I have started using it twice to three times daily on a dry scalp which is how the directions recommend it. I think that the decline in results is from my inconsistency in using the product and possibly from using it on a wet scalp which may actually hinder the performance of the minoxidil…?
I will continue using minoxidil for the next few years most likely and will repost a new reviews if my hair starts shedding again.
Other facts I would like to note is that the foam itself seems to make my hair look and feel thicker almost like a styling gel. I did notice a possible increase of shedding in the beginning but this was followed by a clear increase in growth which undid that initial damage. Liquid minoxidil products make my hair look thin after application and are messy and never dry. I do use a liquid off-brand 5% minoxidil at night along with the rogaine foam sometimes b/c I don’t care what I look like when I go to bed and I want to spread out the cost. I am now considering just using the foam and not using the liquid to improve results.
I am very happy with this product. I would have given it five stars 3 months ago had my hair not started to shed a little bit again. I give it four to four-and-a-half stars. In my opinion,there’s definitely nothing else out right now that I would trust more than rogaine foam to REGROW hair.
I have noticed the change in my hair very quickly after using this product. People has started to make comments about my hair looking full and healthy. I have tried many different products in the past; none of them made any difference. My cousin, who has vitiligo told me about the product; she was losing her hair in a concerning way. She was recommended this product by our famil Dr and then after seeing results on her I decided to try.
well, i don’t know about the details how it works. but it certainly less agitates my hair.
I never received my order but it has marked as it has been delivered.
I left a comment for my order and then my shipping details are changed and the shipment date set back to a date which is even earlier. How is it possible for them to play around and make up random delivery dates for a product that has never been shipped?
After I submitted a delivery inquiry to the seller company, Omorfia shop, they said it is not their fault,it is the post office’s fault. The customer services emailed saying they will contact the post office and keep me updated. This did not happen too. I paid for a product which has never been delivered. I am not going to shop from them or from amazon again.
I have never written a review on a product before. But I thought that it might be helpful to somebody else. The product came exactly as advertised, and on time. I do advise everybody to use it daily. It’s the only shampoo that stops my hair from falling out…
I highly recommend this shampoo to anyone who has fears of hair loss.
This product works great. It really helped to supress my appetite. I also could really tell the boost in engerty without getting the jitters or upset stomach like with some other pills. These pills helped me lose weight and stay motivated. I have recommened them to friends and will continue to do so. I love this product!
This is the worst ACAI product I have used. I took the product for a week by taking two capsules once a day just before I ate breakfast in the morning. I do not know if this is the way it is intended to be used because the label is so fuzzy and the writing is so small that there was no way I could read it. Anyway, after a week of taking the product I had become so bloated and so constipated that I’m sure I had gained weight, but worse, I looked and felt sick. I stopped using the product and within a week I began to feel better and dropped the bloating and constipulation. I have two bottles of this “experiment”…any takers? Oh and by the way, I was continuously hungry…more so than ever before….simply miserably hungry the whole time I took this product.
Bought this product hoping it would add to my weight loss plan. Did help remove “waste” in the system, but also bloated me so much, I could not fit into my current pants. Don’t waste your money. Diet & exercise work much better than adding this product to your routine.
