THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT!
IT HAS NO STINKY HAIRSPRAY SMELL
HOLDS GREAT ALL DAY
IS NOT STICKY
ITS SIMPLY THE BEST HAIRSPRAY ON THE MARKET!

Do layers make your hair look thicker?
I have kinda thin hair with really long layers that are hardly noticeable. If I got Hair Looks Thicker a bunch of short layers, would it make my hair look thicker and have more volume? My hair is about 4 inches past my shoulders. ThanksI don’t want my ENDS to look thick, I want the hair on the crown to look thick, and have it thinner at the ends.

It doesn’t keep it’s hold for very long. Would never buy again. No wonder it’s so cheap!

I need this baby to look sharp and sexy. Ladies love a man who grooms himself right, so this definetely gets their attention as well. Highly recommended for people like myself who live an exercise lifestyle as well.

this Product is perfect for men has not so long hair, take some of this on my finger, expanding to both my hand, set anything I want, I must have it all the time. and smell is good also.

I had misgivings about trying axe hair goop, since I’m not a particularly huge fan of the rest of their stuff (except for the deep clean shampoo.) but in my endless search for the perfect hair product, I found axe charged. it’s targeted towards guys, but I’m a girl and people don’t run up to me and scream “OMG YOU USE GUY HAIR GOOP DIE NOW” so I don’t really think it matters.

    pros:
smells pretty good, nothing like axe spray deodorant (reminiscent of bananas, but in a clean sort of way)
don’t need a lot of it — lasts a good while
very clear instructions :D in two separate places on the jar!
not too heavy or crunchy (if you don’t use too much)
doesn’t requite a lot of styling. (just muss it in, comb it through with your fingers and maybe blowdry it a bit)
can be used on not freshly washed hair
relatively cheap, especially in comparison to other decent texturizing products for women

    cons:
if you use too much, it looks greasy
if you use it on dry hair, it looks greasy
    it’s a man-product (awkward looks at the drugstore if you’re a girl)
doesn’t do much about those random cowlicks you get if you sleep with wet hair.

conclusion: use in moderation. too little > too much.

I have tried American Crew, Bed Head, Garnier, LA Looks, etc…AXE Spiked up is the best of the bunch. Nice hold, flexible but stays in place. I even had the women giving me my haircut what I used in my hair since it was so nice. Get this you will not be disappointed.

This is not a bad product but it’s not what I’d call a putty. This is like a creme or something. I have very fine hair and the only thing I’ve found that works well for me is American Crew Fiber. Fiber is what I’d call a putty. Fiber isn’t always easy to find and it’s not cheap, so I keep my eyes out for alternatives. That’s why I tried this. This is okay, but not what I wanted. Not enough hold. Also this Axe product is heavily scented, so you have to want that. I didn’t. All in all … I rate it “fair”.

I’ve used hair gels, specifically Garnier Fructis brand before, and while they held they’d either be too messy or give me a headache (the smell would get to me, thanks a lot Garnier.)

I didn’t see the commercials for this (still haven’t) but saw it and it’s other ’styles’ at my local Target. I thought why not, and bought a jar.

This stuff works just as well as the Garnier, and I’m no longer getting headaches. I’ve only used this for about a week, but this seems more cost effective since I don’t nearly have to use as much as the gels, just a dab on my finger is enough. Smells nice.

About the only thing I don’t like is that when your hair is damp (it’s supposed to be) the putty feels like it’s pulling on your hair. Not a deal breaker by any means, but you feel it.

Overall, nice stuff and I’ll be buying it again.

Can not find this product in stores, and it’s a product I’ve used for years. Amazon was a lifesaver in having ezactly what I wanted, and at a reasonable price.

This is the only hair spary my husband will use, and it is hard to find in stores….

  10. Monreal on 06 Aug 2010 at 3:59 am

I have used this product for many years and until recently, bought it locally. For some reason the local outlets have discontinued carrying this brand. I searched the internet from information on the can without success to try to find where it could be purchased. Then I went to Amazon.com and was pleasantly surprised it was still available and could be ordered. The Dry Look is a great product that has no odor, holds, and still leaves the hair soft.

  11. Jensen on 06 Aug 2010 at 4:26 pm

Very fast service, received in just a few days. This is the only hairspray my husband will use; it holds well but doesn’t plaster his hair and has a nice, mild scent. However, because of AMAZON’S policy of charging shipping per number of items ordered rather than per total order, it would be better if they offered multiple cans, paying double shipping for two cans is a bit steep.

  12. Edmonds on 07 Aug 2010 at 4:16 am

Not much to review on this product. It’s the only spray my husband likes. We live in a rural area and the stores who once carried it, Walgreen’s and Walmart, don’t anymore. So, we order it.

  13. Dougherty on 07 Aug 2010 at 4:18 pm

Since we can not find this product in the stores we have to buy on line. My husband loves this product and is upset he can not find it in any stores in our area.

    ***Original Review***
I made a mistake with the shipping address and tried to contact the seller multiple times without success. I will not use them again because of this. I only deal with companies with good customer service and this company has NONE! I have yet to get this product as it has shipped to the wrong place. Amazon would not help either.
    ***End Original Review***

The seller was Deals Buzz and they do not answer their phone. They also tried make me feel bad about my vote and tried to get me to change even though they couldn’t solve the problem. I would rather eat the $32 then lie about how good/bad a company is and that is exactly what I did.
I did review the product in Sept of 09, which is pasted above, but for some reason this is asking me to review it again.

Here is an excert from one of the emails.
    >> I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider removing the negative
    >> feedback that you left for me. I and my family depend on my business of
    >> the income.

Very good product, very bad seller.

We bought this item online as our local stores don’t carry it. We have been using it–both my wife and I—for 10+ years and love it. It works well for holding hair in place and has no obnoxious odor. One needs just a little to do the job and so a spray can lasts a long time. We’ll continue to use it as long as we can find it in the stores or online.

I’ve had my hair short for maybe 25% of my life because I like not having to style it and the messy no-styling look is somewhat my style. However with shorter hair, it can look pretty goofy after it dries out. I tried a few products after my most recent hair cut including the purple and orange axe styling gels. Don’t remember their names. This is by far the best if you have hair between 1 – 2 1/2 inches. It allows good amounts of hold without the spkiey look you get from stronger holds.

    How I use it:

    1. Dry my hair after showering til it’s still slightly damp to relatively dry. (This gives more of a messy look.)
    2. Take a couple finger tips of the paste. (Finger TIPS, not the entire top portion of your finger.)
    3. Rub it in to your hair for about 15 – 20 seconds to completely dissolve it. (Doesn’t leave clumps like other gels.)
    4. I usually then lay my hand on the top of my head and brush my hair side to side til it has a messy look.
    5. Depending on your style, you can either push your bangs up, as I do, or leave them down. If pushing your bangs up, it may take another fingertip of paste to keep it held up.

It may feel a bit hard, but after a few hours it softens up. After an hour I usually brush my hand back through my hair and it gives it a nice messy look, with the hold, and without the gel look.

The paste works best with shorter hair though I am trying to grow mine out. But the seller tried to con me saying they only sell the single even though the amazon listing is for a pack of 3. They tried telling me to just return it for a refund so I contacted AMAZON. They took care of the refund and I got to keep my one jar. Don’t buy from them at what seems like a great price only to get the one container.
