I have been using this product for the past year and half. I originally bought it from the actually manufacturer but they no longer ship the product internationally. As a result I have had to buy the product here. The cost of the product is pretty much the same as what the manufacturer charges. However, the shipping and handling costs for this product here is absolutely astronomical!! If I could find somewhere where this product can be shipped for a far more reasonable price, then I would buy there.

    product is very messy, leaves black/brown residue that is very hard to clean up and leaves mess on clothes, pillow cases, etc. Not practical.

    Finally, what a product!!!!!!! Seriously, this product is awesome! I used toppik before, and started losing more and more hair. When I asked my hair transplant doctor he said I should stop using toppik cuz it contains aluminum which causes hair loss. After my hair transplant the last thing I wanted was to lose hair. My doctor suggested that I try this product which doesn’t contain aluminum and I have to say I’m really happy. I would totally recommend this product to anyone.

    This product really works to cover balding spots. However, I have a deep scar on the back of my head and it can’t seem to cover that up. Otherwise, it is terrific!

    The product itself was very reasonable in price and I knew exactly what I was getting because I’ve bought it before from Spencer Forrest, the company who make Toppik products. However, Spencer Forrest no longer ship to Ireland so I had to look elsewhere online. Amazon was on the only place I could buy this but the biggest negative of all for me was the shipping and packaging costs. The shipping and packaging costs cost more than the actually product but the fact that I rely a lot on this product I bought it anyway. If I could have found somewhere where the shipping and packaging costs were cheaper, I probably would have bought there.

    A very good product – excellent hold yet leaves the hair soft and easy to manage.

    Holds well, except in hot situations. If you work in an environment where you sweat a lot(food industry, Wall St, athlete), it doesn’t hold up well.
    You will start dripping green sweat from your head. So that covers going swimming as well. DON’T DO IT, unless you want to embarrass yourself.

    It’s simply a hairspray, nothing special about it. If you really think this hair spray has a different chemical to bond to the toppik better then purchase it. I would compare this hair spray with any other strong hold hair spray you can buy anywhere. I don’t want to burst your bubble and say Santa don’t exist. I was one of those guys dooped thinking this hair spray was different. Save your money and just use your existing hair spray. Honestly, I want my money back but I already paid for the dumb shipping and handling fee so I’m stuck with it. Anyone want a buy a used Toppik Hairspray?

    I have used Toppik for years. I am a woman with thinning hair on the crown of my head and this product completely covers the white shiny scalp (gross!) in the part of my hair.

    Here is what I’ve learned:

    1. Buy a color a bit lighter than your hair. I have medium brown hair, but I use the light brown.

    2. Don’t shake it on your hair, tap it gently on your scalp!

    3. I part my hair (mine is chin length) with a zig zag part (better than a straight part to hide mild hair loss). Gently tap the jar upside down right along the part while checking in the mirror. It doesn’t take a lot of Toppik for mild hair loss, so go easy! It shouldn’t look like fur, it should just makes the part a bit darker, so it disappears. Use a second mirror to see the back and top of your head. If any gets on your forehead, wipe off with some alcohol on a cotton pad.

    4. Use a little hairspray to hold the zig zag part in place, if necessary.

    5. When I first open a new jar, I use masking tape to tape off about 1/3 of the jar opening, as a lot comes out when you tap it on to your head. You only need a little. It doesn’t have to be a solid dark to disappear, just the same color as your hair or close to it.

    This is great product for people who loosing hair or on the medical process. This would retain the confidence as you are in good sharp. Highly recommend !!
